What’s for dinner? KKK!
As we sat down for dinner to end the day, Wolfgang was shocked to find a food item called “KKK” on the menu at a restaurant in the Bonifacio Global City (BGC) neighborhood. While “KKK” is typically associated with the “Ku Klux Klan” in North America, in the Philippines, the “KKK” was the abbreviation for a revolutionary group called Kataastaasang, Kagalanggalangang Katipunan ng mga Anak ng Bayan or “Most High, Honorable Assembly of the Sons of the People” founded by anti-Spanish colonialist Filipinos in Manila in 1892.
